"Dream It,

Live It,

Become It"

A northern lass at heart, Shelley Wilson is a single mum first, a motivational blogger and non-fiction author second, and a holistic business owner third. Setting out to rebuild her life after escaping an abusive marriage, her mantra is simple. Dream It, Live It, Become It. This is the simple philospy that has enabled her to build a successful business and change her life. It all began with her popular 'Resolution Challenge' blog and it's proven an inspirational journey. Straight-talking, honest and with touches of humour, Shelley Wilson now shares experiences as she sets out to prove that being a 40-something, single mum with back fat and grey hairs isn’t the end of life as we know it.

If you thought success and happiness were simply the good fortune other people are lucky enough to experience, you may well need to adjust your thinking. Of course, there are plenty of bestselling gurus willing to show you the way, but few do it with such unassuming grace as Wilson. Her new book, How I changed My Life In A Year is enlightening, personal, poignant, funny, and more than a little self-facing. She isn’t one for bold statements, but her prose are so earnest that it's incredibly easy to identify with the challenges she sets herself and celebrate her successes with her. Breaking it all down into easily digestible morsels of wisdom she is acutely aware of personal identity and the self-image we choose, as having a huge influence on our future successes and the need to create specific ways of thinking and acting to break bad habits, if we are to effect long and lasting change.

Too many people struggle with the thought that they’re not good enough which leaves them striving for some kind of illusory perfection, but Wilson encourages her readers to take a deep breath and see the illusion for what it is.  Certainly inspiring, but first and foremost keeping it real, How I Changed My Life In  A Year is strongly recommended.
