Sometimes, Something Special Comes Along.

Something Like 'HOME' From A Master Storyteller

& A Book You Won't Forget!

Someone will have hell to pay!

World War II veteran Peter Blackstone traded his soul so that his wife could live. That was 1945. Since then, Peter has lived an unnaturally long life as a hired killer, providing the life forces upon which Jerahmeel feeds to survive.

Doctor Allison La Croix has a big problem. She randomly sees people’s deaths. She has longed to be free of her twisted "gift" to live a normal life without fear of predicting yet another loved one's demise. After a horrific accident, a severely injured Peter arrives in Allison’s ER. The vision Allison experiences when she touches him nearly kills her. He teaches her to block these devastating episodes as she finds a way to unlock his forgotten, passionate soul. But Jerahmeel’s minion has orders to destroy Peter and anyone he loves. Will Peter’s and Allison’s shattered souls survive the devious plan? Or could their love save them both? Someone will have hell to pay.

Our review......

Our fascination with fantasy fiction may not be waning, but with a raft of new releases hitting the shelves it’s becoming ever harder to differentiate original story lines. However, Jillian David knows what her readers want and in Immortal Flame she delivers in abundance without resorting to trite clichés. Yes, there's the obligatory sexual tension with a male lead designed to set pulses racing, there are secrets to be revealed and the age old duel between good and evil, but David adds her own unique and compelling signature which brings her characters to life. Sparks quite literally fly when Peter and Allison meet for the first time and whilst this sets the tone for the more erotic elements of her fantasy she’s canny enough to add significantly more depth. There’s a battle raging between light and darkness and Peter is paying the price for the deal he has made. On this level it drives the narrative as her characters grow, which turn brings a genuine sense of momentum that keeps readers on edge and the pages turning.

Intense and entertaining throughout, Immortal Flame proves a strong start to a promising new series  that should prove a treat for fans of this ever popular genre. One to add to your reading list, it is strongly recommended.
