Overwhelmingly candid and not easily forgotten Kellcey proves an absolute must read!
“Go and tell that fox for me, “Listen, I am casting out demons and performing cures today and tomorrow, and on the third day I finish my work"
Elegant and beautiful Covenant Church has a history of destroying its pastors. Suzanne is sent to give it one last chance with the hope that she can help save the church without being destroyed herself. She discovers interwoven relationships, secrets and old sins which lock the congregation into chaos and draw her into its whirlwind.
A delightful novel of intrigue and guarded pasts, Like a Fox is Book Two in The Pastor Suzanne series by author Judy Mitchell Rich. Well-written and gracious, the enduring themes of legacy, family, and the nature of the pastoral ministry are central to her plot. A poignant and timely reflection on the penuries of life and the bonds of community that invariably influence the choices we make. Astutely observed, she writes with the insight of her own calling, peppering her words with wonderfully thoughtful anecdotes which brings a certain degree of levity to the mystery to be resolved. Shrewdly weaving a strong element of scriptural truth throughout, Rich finds a notable balance in the tenor and tone of her tale. Alongside a host of well rendered characters and Rich's fine ear for dialogue, it proves a rather beguiling and enthralling read.
A palatable tale which will surely lead to timely reflection, Like A Fox certainly bodes well for future releases in the Pastor Suzanne series. It is definitely recommended.
