"Much progress results when different streams of human understanding are brought together" - Manas Fuloria, Co-founder and CEO, Nagarro

"Mind Maps are associated with Creativity and non-linear thinking. When an expert in both areas brings this expertise together in one book, it tickles the left and right side of the brain simultaneously" - Sameer Garde, President, South Asia, Philips India

Our review......

Tony Buzan created a worldwide phenomenon with Mind Maps, but as with any revolutionary system that explores human thought, subsequent interpretations can often prove less insightful. Fortunately, Mind Maps for Effective Project Management by Maneesh Dutt bucks this trend to deliver an authoritative and clearly presented guide to unleashing their potential. As a form of visual outlining they may look like sprawling network diagrams, but Dutt leaves us in no doubt they provide a powerful tool for managing information overload whilst showing us how they can effectively amplify productivity. Enabling groups to quickly capture ideas and restructure them in a way that facilitates broader understanding. He demonstrates how they engage us on a visual level and provide a way to navigate often disparate ideas in a smaller visual field, using his wealth of experience in project management to demonstrate how we can use these tools to facilitate higher levels of productivity and greater cohesion amongst project teams. On this level alone Dutt’s book makes a valuable addition to any project toolkit, but it’s his style of delivery which makes it most noteworthy. Eschewing unnecessary complexity, he not only provides a robust framework for implementing across the project life cycle, but more importantly, tried, tested and practical templates for doing so.

Highly informative and expertly written, Mind Maps for Effective Project Management proves a must read for Project Managers and their teams. It is recommended without reservation.
