The Language Of Love Has Never
Been So Intoxicating
Payton Winters is thrust into the position of CEO of The Winters Corporation after the sudden death of her parents. But the challenge of her new role is nothing compared to coping with her evolving enhanced abilities. Payton can ground those who possess psychic powers—some of whom have taken refuge at the Winters Corporation. Now she has unwillingly become a mental anchor for a man she wants no part of, Collin McBain. While on a routine mission, Collin is drugged, tortured, and injected with wolf DNA. Believed dead, he is secretly assigned to the Winters Campus; his only road back to life is through Payton.
Faced with her new roles, Payton realizes her life is based on half-truths. Now she’s compelled to pursue her mother’s research to understand why she and her two sisters were genetically altered before birth. Payton’s pursuit embroils her in a world of secrets, lies, kidnapping, and murder, but her future depends on deciphering the lies of the past.
Old enemies are back and new alliances are made as the Winters sisters continue to unravel the truth about their altered DNA. A white knuckle, full on genre blending Paranormal Romance Payton’s Pursuit sees the focus switch from Victory and Tristan to Payton and Collin as they come to grips with their burgeoning physic powers and the unpredictability of Collin's wolf traits. In Chasing Victory. Book one of the series it was clear from the start that Jaytanie knew how to weave a compelling and enticing narrative and once again she’s quick to hit her stride. Freely utilizing elements of fantasy, romance, mystery and science fiction the plot might be fuelled by ingrained hate, fear, and cruelty as Braxton and the Kaleidoscope Group continue with their nefarious projects but it’s love that wins the day and when it comes to endearing couples in the paranormal romance genre Payton and Collin are as good as they get. Take it for granted that there’s a host of obstacles for them to overcome but Jaytanie keeps us on tenterhooks to the very end with a final reveal that’s sure to have far-reaching implications for Willow and her sisters.
A scintillating read, fans of Jaytanie’s novels are sure to love this second instalment in The Winters Sisters series. A must read it is recommended without reservation.
