The BookViral review......
In an age of irony, Ready For Flynn by K L Shandwick is sure to sneak past your defences. With a throbbing, edgy essence and an off-kilter plot it has all the hallmarks of a real page-turner. From the very start you get a sense of energy trying to break through and emotions, unexamined but urgent, which create an occasionally noir complexion. Some authors seem to go through the mechanics of writing, but Shandwick has a good ear for the details of teen language and this allows her to tap into the often overlooked emotional terrain. In doing so she not only demonstrates a special ability to write entertaining novels about love, but also about life, insecurity, rejection and learning to grow. Yes, the temperature soars. It’s a given with strong characters like Valerie and Flynn, but it's also about learning to be true to yourself and not simply falling for the way people are packaged.
A well paced, entertaining read from the very start
and a perfect pick me up for a relaxing weekend,
Ready For Flynn is highly recomended.
