Romance, and political intrigue
where secrets can be deadly.
Sometimes there are worse
things to fear than ghosts!
The last thing Kaylee wants to do is participate in a childish scavenger hunt--especially inside the abandoned retirement home on the edge of town. When she finds a bruised, deaf boy hiding inside one of the rooms, she vows to lead him to safety . . . only to discover the front doors are now padlocked, and her friends are nowhere to be found. Kaylee is about to learn that not everything that goes 'bump in the night' is imaginary, and sometimes there are worse things to fear than ghosts.
The BookViral Review......
Originality will invariably garner interest and it’s always refreshing to review something a little different. Resthaven, the latest release from Erik Therme, certainly sets itself apart and if his only aim was to raise the hairs on the back of your neck and keep them that way until the very end of the book, then he achieves this with admirable ease. It’s fair to say Therme’s not an author to labour in the detail, crafting a succinct and well-paced plot that quickly gets to the crux of the genre whilst rapidly building suspense and tension. Highly compelling, he creates the right atmosphere from the start and it gets better with every page as skilful twists and powerfully conceptualized characters combine to provide a truly malevolent tale. It’s not for the faint hearted, and in the absence of traditional chapters each page will require your full concentration to fully absorb the prevailing essence of evil that pervades within.
Enthralling and darkly satisfying, Resthaven proves exciting and above all memorable whilst sure to be well received by fans of the genre. It is strongly recommended.
