Sometimes, Something Special Comes Along.

Something Like 'HOME' From A Master Storyteller

& A Book You Won't Forget!

A high school track star is abducted by aliens, explores strange worlds, uncovers genocide on a planetary scale, and is thrust into extraterrestrial politics that decides the fate of an Earth on the brink of war or unification.

The Abduction of Joshua Bloom tells the story of a teen abduction by an alien race who justifies their act in an attempt to save their people. Joshua finds himself in a world dominated by women, and men are subjugated to their whims. He travels to a dinosaur world, visits a water planet, and the alien home world doomed by a star about to nova.

Rarely less than absorbing and certainly never boring, The Abduction Of Joshua Bloom by Michael L Thal makes for a satisfyingly refreshing YA SF saga. With a relentless sequence of events to dazzle and beguile, Thal knows how to spin an enticing tale with an emotional punch. Penning a narrative that not only entertains, but offers a little enlightenment along the way. With meticulously rendered worlds, an underlying theme of paradise lost and found resonates throughout as Joshua Bloom makes sense of his distant travels. His character embodying the spirit of adventure, but with the depth to allow timely philosophical musings to surface.  They don’t intrude, but do provide for some timely reflection on the application of technology and it’s hard not to draw present day comparisons with earth and wonder why we continue to be so self-destructive.

A clever and compelling read with wonderful characters and vividly rendered backdrops, The Abduction Of Joshua Bloom is definitely one you will want to talk about!
